A quick and gripping read. Intellectual settings are my thing, especially when it is used not just a as a setting but when those discoveries entwine with the character’s personal growth. The relationship between the protaganist and her mother reminded me of the movie Girls Will Be Girls by Shuchi Talati, and I love them both! I highlighted many quotes on Feminism and non-exclusive relationship that I can see myself coming back for years to come. Definitely made me interested in reading more international fiction and colonial studies. I am not sure I will be able to read more Virginia Wolfe anytime soon though 😓.
